Last week Google announced it will limit paid search advertising on addiction treatment/rehabilitation centers in an effort to protect consumers from deceptive or unfit providers, as well as lead aggregator sites that sell consumers’ contact information to the highest bidder.
On the cusp of September, AdGooroo has examined Back To School paid search advertising over the last month, analyzing U.S. Google desktop text ad and product listing ad clicks on 278 non-branded Back To School-related keywords from July 29 through August 27.
The streaming video industry has seen rapid growth over the last year in terms of both the number of consumers “cutting the cord” and the addition of new service providers to cater to them. AdGooroo recently assessed paid search advertising in the category, analyzing U.S. Google desktop text ad activity on 43 non-branded video streaming keywords during the first six months of 2017, including terms such as ‘streaming television’, ‘streamed tv’, ‘streaming movies’ and ‘watch television online’.
It’s been one week since Amazon announced its purchase of Whole Foods, and much of the speculation on how the move will affect the U.S. grocery industry has been centered on online grocery ordering and home delivery.
To explore this topic in paid search advertising, AdGooroo examined U.S. Google desktop text ad activity on 124 non-branded grocery store and grocery delivery keywords from June 2016 through May 2017, including terms such as ‘grocery store’, ‘groceries delivery’, ‘grocery delivery service’, ‘online grocery shopping’ and ‘supermarket’.
There was a surprise in AdGooroo’s recent ranking of the most expensive consumer product keywords in paid search. Namely, deodorant and antiperspirant keywords occupied more than half of the top 20 positions.
